008 PTFE SOLID BACKUP RING FDA

Ordered as TST008SO, this is an AS568-008 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.176 in (4.47 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.316 in (8.03 mm). The back-up ring bridges the extrusion gap so the primary seal holds its shape under load.

The material holds up against strong acids and bases, steam, and nearly all industrial chemicals. PTFE (Teflon) is widely chosen for excellent dielectric properties and a very wide continuous service temperature range.
