The 0283H070 is a black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A O-Ring Cord Stock supplied with a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm). This o-ring cord stock lets you fabricate a custom-size seal on site by cutting and splicing to the required circumference.

It resists engine and transmission fluids, many acids, and aromatic hydrocarbons. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is valued for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, very low compression set at elevated temperature.
