The 02831 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring Cord Stock with a cross section of 1 in (25.4 mm). This o-ring cord stock eliminates long lead times on large-diameter custom rings.

This material stands up to chlorinated solvents, aggressive chemicals, and engine and transmission fluids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is known for outstanding high-temperature capability and very low compression set at elevated temperature. It is not the right choice where ketones and esters or low-molecular-weight organic acids are present.

Common environments for this compound include semiconductor equipment, chemical processing, and high-temperature process equipment.

Stocked as 02831 and sold by the foot. Application requirements vary, so validate compatibility with your process conditions prior to installation.
