1" GFO GRAPHITE/PTFE PACKING

11801000-05 is a G.F.O. Packing Compression Packing measuring a 1 inch square cross section. In service, this compression packing is cut into rings and stacked in a stuffing box, then compressed by the gland to seal a rotating or reciprocating shaft. Source specification: 5 LB. Box - Approx. 7 FT.

G.F.O. Packing is specified for a braided construction that conforms to the stuffing box and dependable service life when correctly adjusted. This material stands up to shaft wear, process media, and elevated temperature and pressure. Rated for service to approximately 550°F. Applications involving running dry without flush or over-tightening of the gland call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in mixers and rotary equipment, valves and agitators, and centrifugal and reciprocating pumps.
