As a material, Graphite Filament Packing is known for no aging, hardening or embrittlement over time, excellent thermal conductivity and fire resistance. Expect good resistance to most chemicals across the pH range, steam, and very high temperature. It should not be specified for service in highly oxidizing service above rated temperature or strong oxidizing acids.
