105 PTFE SOLID BACKUP RING FDA

TST105SO is an AS568-105 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring with an inside diameter of 0.143 in (3.63 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.349 in (8.86 mm). In service, this back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

The compound resists oxidizing media, nearly all industrial chemicals, and solvents. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE (Teflon) is widely chosen for a very wide continuous service temperature range and near-universal chemical inertness. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 500°F (260°C).
