This o-ring cord stock is supplied in black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A measuring a cross section of 0.393 in (10 mm), catalogued under part number 0M283V10. It supports field repair of oversized or non-standard sealing grooves without a special tooling charge.

This material stands up to aggressive chemicals, many acids, and aromatic hydrocarbons. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is specified for very low compression set at elevated temperature and outstanding high-temperature capability. Exposure to amines or low-molecular-weight organic acids will shorten service life.
