APG stocks the 11820500-05, a Braided Inconel Wire Compression Packing with a 1/2 inch square cross section. A compression packing offers the most economical repairable shaft seal for pumps and valves. This item is further identified as 5 LB. Box - Approx. 28 FT.

It resists process media, shaft wear, and elevated temperature and pressure. Braided Inconel Wire offers a braided construction that conforms to the stuffing box, controlled leakage that lubricates and cools the shaft. Rated for service to approximately 1200°F. Exposure to over-tightening of the gland or running dry without flush will shorten service life.

It sees regular use in valves and agitators, water and process plants, and centrifugal and reciprocating pumps.
