1/2" CARBON YARN WITH I.W. PACKING

Part number 11820500-01 is a Braided Inconel Wire Compression Packing with a 1/2 inch square cross section. A compression packing provides field-serviceable shaft sealing that can be adjusted and topped up without disassembling the pump. Supplementary detail from the product record: 1 LB. It resists process media, elevated temperature and pressure, and shaft wear. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Braided Inconel Wire offers controlled leakage that lubricates and cools the shaft, dependable service life when correctly adjusted. Rated for service to approximately 1200°F. Exposure to running dry without flush or over-tightening of the gland will shorten service life.

Typical settings include centrifugal and reciprocating pumps, mixers and rotary equipment, and valves and agitators.
