1/2" NON-ASBESTOS GRAPHITE PACKING

The 11890500-10 is a Square Braided Non-Asbestos Packing Compression Packing built to a 1/2 inch square cross section. This compression packing is cut into rings and stacked in a stuffing box, then compressed by the gland to seal a rotating or reciprocating shaft. Supplementary detail from the product record: 10 LB. Square Braided Non-Asbestos Packing is specified here for braided construction that conforms to the stuffing box, controlled leakage that lubricates and cools the shaft. The compound resists elevated temperature and pressure, shaft wear, and process media. It should not be specified for service in running dry without flush or over-tightening of the gland.
