11750250-01 is a Graphite Filament Packing Compression Packing built to a 1/4 inch square cross section. In service, this compression packing is cut into rings and stacked in a stuffing box, then compressed by the gland to seal a rotating or reciprocating shaft. The catalog record notes: 1 LB. Graphite Filament Packing is known for no aging, hardening or embrittlement over time and near-zero creep relaxation under load. It resists very high temperature, thermal shock, and most chemicals across the pH range. Exposure to highly oxidizing service above rated temperature or strong oxidizing acids will shorten service life.
