TST169SO is an AS568-169 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring measuring an inside diameter of 7.487 in (190.17 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.693 in (195.4 mm). In service, this back-up ring bridges the extrusion gap so the primary seal holds its shape under load.

PTFE (Teflon) is specified here for excellent dielectric properties and very wide continuous service temperature range. The compound resists strong acids and bases, steam, and oxidizing media. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). Verify compatibility before use with molten alkali metals or elemental fluorine at temperature.

Typical settings include semiconductor fabrication, pharmaceutical and biotech, and aggressive-media pipelines.
