Expect good resistance to strong acids and bases, nearly all industrial chemicals, and oxidizing media. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Lubricated PTFE Filament Packing offers non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics and one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid. Exposure to service requiring elastic recovery or molten alkali metals will shorten service life.
