Graphite Filament Packing is specified here for excellent thermal conductivity and fire resistance, exceptional temperature capability well beyond elastomeric materials. It resists fire exposure, thermal shock, and very high temperature. Applications involving strong oxidizing acids or highly oxidizing service above rated temperature call for a different compound.
