This compression packing is supplied in Carbon Fiber with Graphite Packing measuring a 1/8 inch square cross section, catalogued under part number 11760125-05. It is cut into rings and stacked in a stuffing box, then compressed by the gland to seal a rotating or reciprocating shaft. Source specification: 5 LB. Box - Approx. 630 FT.

As a material, Carbon Fiber with Graphite Packing is known for near-zero creep relaxation under load and no aging, hardening or embrittlement over time. The material holds up against fire exposure, very high temperature, and most chemicals across the pH range. It is not the right choice where highly oxidizing service above rated temperature or strong oxidizing acids are present.
