Klingersil C-4401 is specified here for clean release and easy removal at teardown, excellent torque retention and low creep relaxation. The compound resists elevated flange loads, a broad range of process chemicals, and hydrocarbons. It should not be specified for service in service beyond the published pressure-temperature envelope or strong oxidizing acids in some grades.
