2103-003 PTFE S/T BUP FDA

Ordered as TST003, this is an AS568-003 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring with an inside diameter of 0.056 in (1.42 mm), a cross section of 0.06 in (1.52 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.176 in (4.47 mm). The back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

PTFE (Teflon) is known for a very wide continuous service temperature range and excellent dielectric properties. It resists nearly all industrial chemicals, steam, and oxidizing media. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). It is not the right choice where service requiring elastic recovery or elemental fluorine at temperature are present.

It sees regular use in food and beverage, chemical processing, and pharmaceutical and biotech.
