The TST032 is an AS568-032 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring measuring an inside diameter of 1.864 in (47.35 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.004 in (50.9 mm). This back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

PTFE (Teflon) is specified here for one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and excellent dielectric properties. Expect good resistance to steam, solvents, and oxidizing media. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 500°F (260°C). Exposure to service requiring elastic recovery or molten alkali metals will shorten service life.
