The TST033 is an AS568-033 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring measuring an inside diameter of 1.989 in (50.52 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.129 in (54.08 mm). This back-up ring bridges the extrusion gap so the primary seal holds its shape under load.

PTFE (Teflon) is widely chosen for non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics and near-universal chemical inertness. Expect good resistance to strong acids and bases, nearly all industrial chemicals, and solvents. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C).
