The TST152 is an AS568-152 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring with an inside diameter of 3.237 in (82.22 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.443 in (87.45 mm). This back-up ring bridges the extrusion gap so the primary seal holds its shape under load.

The compound resists solvents, nearly all industrial chemicals, and oxidizing media. PTFE (Teflon) is valued for one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C) in continuous service. Verify compatibility before use with service requiring elastic recovery or molten alkali metals.
