Part number TST160 is an AS568-160 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 5.237 in (133.02 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.443 in (138.25 mm). A back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

This material stands up to strong acids and bases, oxidizing media, and nearly all industrial chemicals. PTFE (Teflon) offers near-universal chemical inertness and non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C) in continuous service. Verify compatibility before use with service requiring elastic recovery or elemental fluorine at temperature.
