Ordered as TST175, this is an AS568-175 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring with an inside diameter of 8.987 in (228.27 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 9.193 in (233.5 mm). The back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

The compound resists oxidizing media, strong acids and bases, and solvents. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE (Teflon) offers one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and near-universal chemical inertness. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C).
