The TST276 is an AS568-276 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 10.984 in (278.99 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 11.262 in (286.05 mm). This back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

PTFE (Teflon) is known for one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and a very wide continuous service temperature range. Expect good resistance to nearly all industrial chemicals, steam, and strong acids and bases. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 500°F (260°C). Verify compatibility before use with service requiring elastic recovery or elemental fluorine at temperature.
