TST315 is an AS568-315 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.787 in (19.99 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.207 in (30.66 mm). In service, this back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

PTFE (Teflon) delivers one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and excellent dielectric properties. The compound resists nearly all industrial chemicals, oxidizing media, and steam. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). It should not be specified for service in elemental fluorine at temperature or service requiring elastic recovery.

It sees regular use in pharmaceutical and biotech, aggressive-media pipelines, and chemical processing.
