Part number TST361 is an AS568-361 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring with an inside diameter of 5.975 in (151.77 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.395 in (162.43 mm). A back-up ring extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

It resists steam, strong acids and bases, and nearly all industrial chemicals. PTFE (Teflon) is valued for excellent dielectric properties and one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). Applications involving elemental fluorine at temperature or service requiring elastic recovery call for a different compound.
