Part number TST365 is an AS568-365 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring built to an inside diameter of 6.975 in (177.17 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.395 in (187.83 mm). A back-up ring installs on the low-pressure side of an o-ring to prevent extrusion into the clearance gap at elevated pressure.

Expect good resistance to solvents, oxidizing media, and nearly all industrial chemicals. PTFE (Teflon) is specified for one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and excellent dielectric properties. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 500°F (260°C). Exposure to elemental fluorine at temperature or service requiring elastic recovery will shorten service life.

Common environments for this compound include aggressive-media pipelines, chemical processing, and pharmaceutical and biotech.
