This back-up ring is supplied in AS568-382 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D built to an inside diameter of 12.975 in (329.57 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 13.395 in (340.23 mm), catalogued under part number TST382. It extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

PTFE (Teflon) delivers near-universal chemical inertness and a very wide continuous service temperature range. Expect good resistance to nearly all industrial chemicals, strong acids and bases, and solvents. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C).
