Ordered as TST444, this is an AS568-444 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring measuring an inside diameter of 7.725 in (196.22 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.275 in (210.19 mm). The back-up ring extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

PTFE (Teflon) is widely chosen for excellent dielectric properties and a very wide continuous service temperature range. Expect good resistance to oxidizing media, solvents, and strong acids and bases. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C).
