2103-470 PTFE S/T BUP FDA

Ordered as TST470, this is an AS568-470 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring built to an inside diameter of 20.955 in (532.26 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 21.505 in (546.23 mm). The back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

As a material, PTFE (Teflon) is known for one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and near-universal chemical inertness. It resists solvents, steam, and oxidizing media. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C).
