This o-ring is supplied in black Viton® (FKM) 80 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 25 mm (0.984 in), a cross section of 6 mm (0.236 in), and an outside diameter of 37 mm (1.46 in), catalogued under part number V6X25. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

The material holds up against engine and transmission fluids, aromatic hydrocarbons, and petroleum oils and fuels. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is valued for very low compression set at elevated temperature and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).
