1/2 X 260 IMPORT GRADE TFE TAPE

Part number 2546A is a TFE Thread Sealant Tape Compression Packing supplied with a 1/2 inch square cross section. A compression packing is cut into rings and stacked in a stuffing box, then compressed by the gland to seal a rotating or reciprocating shaft. Source specification: Low Density.

As a material, TFE Thread Sealant Tape is valued for excellent dielectric properties and a very wide continuous service temperature range. It resists nearly all industrial chemicals, oxidizing media, and strong acids and bases. Exposure to service requiring elastic recovery or elemental fluorine at temperature will shorten service life.
