1/2 X 260 DOMESTIC GRADE TFE TAPE

The 2547A is a TFE Thread Sealant Tape Compression Packing supplied with a 1/2 inch square cross section. This compression packing seals the shaft while allowing controlled leakage that lubricates and cools the packing set. This item is further identified as High Density.

TFE Thread Sealant Tape is specified here for one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics. The compound resists solvents, oxidizing media, and steam. It should not be specified for service in molten alkali metals or service requiring elastic recovery.
