This o-ring cord stock is supplied in black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A measuring a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), catalogued under part number 0283H275. It supports field repair of oversized or non-standard sealing grooves without a special tooling charge.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is known for very low compression set at elevated temperature, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. The compound resists aggressive chemicals, petroleum oils and fuels, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Exposure to amines or hot water and steam will shorten service life.

Typical settings include automotive fuel systems, aerospace, and high-temperature process equipment.
