Ordered as 0M283V2, this is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring Cord Stock measuring a cross section of 0.0787 in (2 mm). The o-ring cord stock provides continuous extruded stock for building one-off or oversized rings.

The material holds up against petroleum oils and fuels, engine and transmission fluids, and many acids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) delivers the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit and very low compression set at elevated temperature. It is not the right choice where hot water and steam or ketones and esters are present.

It sees regular use in semiconductor equipment, aerospace, and high-temperature process equipment.
