V3X229.5 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 229.5 mm (9.035 in), a cross section of 3 mm (0.118 in), and an outside diameter of 235.5 mm (9.27 in). In service, this o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Viton® (FKM) offers long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. Expect good resistance to many acids, chlorinated solvents, and engine and transmission fluids. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving low-molecular-weight organic acids or ketones and esters call for a different compound.
