311 PTFE SOLID BACKUP RING FDA

This back-up ring is supplied in AS568-311 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D with an inside diameter of 0.537 in (13.64 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.957 in (24.31 mm), catalogued under part number TST311SO. It extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

PTFE (Teflon) is specified for a very wide continuous service temperature range and near-universal chemical inertness. It resists steam, nearly all industrial chemicals, and solvents.
