The compound resists thermal shock, fire exposure, and most chemicals across the pH range. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Braided Flexible Graphite is known for near-zero creep relaxation under load and exceptional temperature capability well beyond elastomeric materials. It is not the right choice where strong oxidizing acids or highly oxidizing service above rated temperature are present.

It sees regular use in refining, high-temperature process piping, and exhaust and flue gas.
