This compression packing is supplied in Braided Inconel Wire built to a 3/16 inch square cross section, catalogued under part number 11820187-01. It offers the most economical repairable shaft seal for pumps and valves. Source specification: 1 LB. Box - Approx. 47 FT.

As a material, Braided Inconel Wire is specified for field-cuttable rings for fast, inexpensive repacking, controlled leakage that lubricates and cools the shaft. This material stands up to process media, shaft wear, and elevated temperature and pressure. Rated for service to approximately 1200°F. Applications involving running dry without flush or over-tightening of the gland call for a different compound.
