The 14600187-05 is a Tallow Lubricated Flax Compression Packing built to a 3/16 inch square cross section. Tallow Lubricated Flax is specified here for field-cuttable rings for fast, inexpensive repacking, controlled leakage that lubricates and cools the shaft. It resists process media, elevated temperature and pressure, and shaft wear. Exposure to over-tightening of the gland or running dry without flush will shorten service life.
