As a material, Carbon Fiber with Graphite Packing is known for excellent thermal conductivity and fire resistance, near-zero creep relaxation under load. Expect good resistance to steam, most chemicals across the pH range, and thermal shock. Exposure to highly oxidizing service above rated temperature or strong oxidizing acids will shorten service life.
