3/16" TREATED PTFE YARN PACKING

This compression packing is supplied in TFE Filament supplied with a 3/16 inch square cross section, catalogued under part number 11740187-05. It provides field-serviceable shaft sealing that can be adjusted and topped up without disassembling the pump. This item is further identified as 5 LB. Box - Approx. 238 FT.

It resists strong acids and bases, nearly all industrial chemicals, and steam. TFE Filament is specified for one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics. It is not the right choice where elemental fluorine at temperature or molten alkali metals are present.
