336 PTFE SOLID BACKUP RING FDA

This back-up ring is supplied in AS568-336 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D built to an inside diameter of 2.85 in (72.39 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.27 in (83.06 mm), catalogued under part number TST336SO. It bridges the extrusion gap so the primary seal holds its shape under load.

PTFE (Teflon) is widely chosen for excellent dielectric properties and non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics. It resists oxidizing media, strong acids and bases, and nearly all industrial chemicals. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C) in continuous service.
