*3/4" PTFE IMPREGNATED FLAX PACKING

This compression packing is supplied in PTFE Impregnated Flax Packing supplied with a 3/4 inch square cross section, catalogued under part number 14630750-10. It is cut into rings and stacked in a stuffing box, then compressed by the gland to seal a rotating or reciprocating shaft. Source specification: 10 LB. Box - Approx. 31 FT.

As a material, PTFE Impregnated Flax Packing offers one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and a very wide continuous service temperature range. It resists steam, strong acids and bases, and oxidizing media. It is not the right choice where elemental fluorine at temperature or service requiring elastic recovery are present.
