35 X 55 X 8 NITRILE OIL SEAL

Ordered as MOS-035-055-008-TC, this is a Buna-N (Nitrile) Double Lip with Spring Oil Seal supplied with a 035 inch inside diameter, a 055 inch outside diameter, and a height of 008 inch. The oil seal retains lubricant inside a housing while excluding dirt, water and contamination from the bearing cavity. Source specification: Rubber Covered OD, Double Lip W/ Spring.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified here for most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer, strong abrasion and tear resistance. Expect good resistance to greases and lubricants, petroleum-based oils, and many alcohols. It is not the right choice where strong acids or polar solvents are present.
