0284375X425 is a black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A oval profile O-Ring Cord Stock measuring a cross section of 0.425 in (10.8 mm). In service, this o-ring cord stock supports field repair of oversized or non-standard sealing grooves without a special tooling charge.

The compound resists greases and lubricants, petroleum-based oils, and propane and butane. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) is valued for the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer and low compression set under sustained load. It is not the right choice where strong acids or ozone and direct sunlight are present.
