3/8" CARBON YARN WITH I.W. PACKING

The 11820375-05 is a Braided Inconel Wire Compression Packing measuring a 3/8 inch square cross section. This compression packing seals the shaft while allowing controlled leakage that lubricates and cools the packing set. Source specification: 5 LB. Box - Approx. 51 FT.

As a material, Braided Inconel Wire is known for a braided construction that conforms to the stuffing box and field-cuttable rings for fast, inexpensive repacking. The material holds up against process media, elevated temperature and pressure, and shaft wear. Rated for service to approximately 1200°F. It is not the right choice where running dry without flush or over-tightening of the gland are present.

It sees regular use in water and process plants, valves and agitators, and mixers and rotary equipment.
