The 11890375-10 is a Square Braided Non-Asbestos Packing Compression Packing with a 3/8 inch square cross section. This compression packing is cut into rings and stacked in a stuffing box, then compressed by the gland to seal a rotating or reciprocating shaft. Supplementary detail from the product record: 10 LB. Square Braided Non-Asbestos Packing is specified here for braided construction that conforms to the stuffing box and field-cuttable rings for fast, inexpensive repacking. Expect good resistance to elevated temperature and pressure, shaft wear, and process media. It is not the right choice where over-tightening of the gland or running dry without flush are present.
