387 PTFE SOLID BACKUP RING FDA

The TST387SO is an AS568-387 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring measuring an inside diameter of 17.955 in (456.06 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 18.375 in (466.73 mm). This back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

PTFE (Teflon) is known for a very wide continuous service temperature range and excellent dielectric properties. Expect good resistance to solvents, steam, and nearly all industrial chemicals. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C).
