The o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

The compound resists petroleum oils and fuels, aggressive chemicals, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Viton® (FKM) delivers the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit and outstanding high-temperature capability. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in hot water and steam or ketones and esters.
