The 0282437 is a black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring Cord Stock supplied with a cross section of 0.437 in (11.1 mm). This o-ring cord stock lets you fabricate a custom-size seal on site by cutting and splicing to the required circumference.

As a material, EPDM (EPR) is specified for good electrical insulating characteristics, excellent hot water and steam resistance. This material stands up to phosphate ester hydraulic fluids, ozone, UV and weathering, and dilute acids and alkalis. It should not be specified for service in aromatic hydrocarbons or petroleum oils and fuels.

It sees regular use in potable water applications, outdoor equipment, and water and steam systems.
